MANNY PACQUIAO – The presidential aspirant and Senator spoke his side on the possible national bid of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

The decision of presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte to withdraw her candidacy for re-election next year sparked a lot of speculation. They are summed up to a possibility that she will run for a higher office in 2022.

Previously, the Davao City Mayor put end to speculations that she will vie for the presidency as she sought understanding from her supporters explaining that she wants to finish her three (3) terms in Davao City. Supposedly, she will be gunning for her third term.

Speculations that she will run for vice president crossed the surface following the withdrawal of her candidacy for mayor. There is also a claim that she will take the presidential race in 2022.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, presidential aspirant and Sen. Manny Pacquiao expressed that he was surprised by the decision of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte but he has good wishes for her plans.

“I’m surprised by her decision but whatever plans that she has in the future, I wish her well,” the Senator said.

Sen. Manny Pacquiao is running with former Manila Mayor Lito Atienza in the upcoming election. According to him, he will be able to help more people if he will win president next year as the government has the budget for it and his personal budget is limited.

After announcing his decision to run for president, the Senator announced his retirement from boxing. According to him, his family wants him to retire already and it was his passion for boxing that kept him going.
