Sales Associate Goes Viral After Bidding Goodbye to His Face Shield
A sales associate in Silang Cavite goes viral after bidding goodbye to his beloved face shield he used for almost two years.
Earlier this week, President Rodrigo Duterte has approved the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to lift the mandatory use of face shields in areas under Alert Level 1 to 3.
Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea released the memorandum detailing the use of face shields in areas with various Covid-19 alert level. The local government units under alert level 4 have the discretion to maintain or remove the mandatory use of face shields.
However, the Filipino people are still required to wear face masks and strict observe health safety protocols. The announcement has been made due to the depleting cases of coronavirus disease in the country.
A Facebook user named Jonathan Toledo has shared the photos of his two-year-old face shield while saying goodbye to it. The post quickly spreads like a wildfire online and earned reactions from the netizens.
In the photos, it can be seen that Toledo is wearing his face shield, which seems to be overused. The face shield has numerous scratches and folds due to long usage but Jonathan was still using it.
The sales associate shared how we valued his face shield for protecting him from the respiratory illness despite the looks of it. He used it for almost two years and never thought of dumping it.
