Among the politicians who previously had issues are Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Sen. Manny Pacquiao. The latter accused the different public agencies of corruption but the 76-year-old Chief Executive did not show support in investigating the accused agencies but instead challenged the Senator.

The President and the Senator belong to the same political party, PDP-Laban. However, it is currently having internal conflicts and is divided into two (2) wings. The Chief Executive is under the Cusi wing while the Senator is on the other faction.

Meanwhile, recently, many were surprised when a photo of Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Sen. Manny Pacquiao in Malacañang crossed the surface.

The said meeting between the two (2) politicians who previously had an issue was reported as a renewal of friendship. However, recently, the President claimed that the Senator went to the Palace to invite him that they would join forces in the upcoming election for Mindanao.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Chief Executive is vocal that he cannot support the Senator as his support for the presidential race goes for Sen. Bong Go.
