Manny Pacquiao To Spring “Last Surprise” Before November 15 — Salceda

Manny Pacquiao will spring a “last surprise” before November 15, according to Salceda.

Albay 2nd District Representative Joey Salceda said that Senator Manny Pacquiao will spring a “last surprise” before November 15, the deadline for candidate substitution.

Salceda’s statement came after Senator Pacquiao met with President Rodrigo Duterte in Malacañang, ending months of bickering. He didn’t say if the senator was likely to drop his presidential bid for Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

Let Manny Pacquiao announce it, not me. In the next three days, that’s the last surprise,” Salceda told ONE News. “What Manny Pacquiao will do is the last surprise and I think Sara filing for presidency will be no surprise.”

Mayor Sara withdrew her reelection bid for Davao City mayor last Tuesday, reigniting calls for her to run for a national position.

Salceda said Mayor Sara would run for president and that had long been her intention, adding that the presidential daughter will announce her political plans before November 15.

Mayor Sara had not commented on Salceda’s pronouncements as of this writing.

Salceda said Senator Pacquiao’s meeting with the President could be a sign the two PDP-Laban factions were reuniting.

However, Senator Pacquiao clarified that he wasn’t changing his mind about running for president in the 2022 elections even after his meeting with the President, which he said was arranged by common friends.

Walang atrasan. Tuloy ang laban,” Pacquiao said in a statement released after his meeting with the President.
