Ka Leody Speaks on Platform of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo
KA LEODY – Labor leader Leody de Guzman is ready to withdraw his presidential bid under a condition involving Vice Pres. Leni Robredo.
A total of 97 candidacies for president were filed during the period set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec). Some of the presidential aspirants are incumbent politicians in the Philippines while others are prominent for their advocacies and calls to the government.
One of those who filed his candidacy for president in 2022 is labor leader Ka Leody de Guzman. However, according to him, he is ready to withdraw his bid under a certain condition involving his fellow presidential aspirant, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo.
The Vice President is running as an independent candidate. She is the presidential nominee of the opposition coalition 1SAMBAYAN.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Ka Leody de Guzman said that he will withdraw his presidential bid if Vice Pres. Leni Robredo would include in her platforms the platforms of the labor leader which is centered on the welfare of the workers.
According to him, he will withdraw his bid if the Vice President will speak about the contractualization in the country, the rice tarrification law, the value-added tax (VAT), the system of the election, and the sector services that go to the private companies.
Based on the report, Ka Leody expressed that if Vice Pres. Leni Robredo won’t speak about the said issues, he might not vote for president again just like the previous election. He stressed that he will continue his presidential bid if the Vice President will not accept his platforms.
With regards to why he chose Vice Pres. Robredo, according to the labor leader, out of all the presidential aspirants, only he and the Vice President are similar when it comes to allegedly not allowing President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to use them.
“Hindi naman ako politiko, eh. Ako naman ang mas concern ko yung 109 million, yung kabuhayan nila na sa mahabang panahon ay napabayaan, hindi napansin ng nagpalit-palit na administrasyon,” he said.

Parang di yata nakikinig ito si ka leody sa mga platforms ng ibang kandidato. Ilang linggo na ang campaign di pa din nya alam na yung kanyang mga puntos sa kanyang plata porma ay matagal ng ginagawa ni VP Leni? At ayon sa kanyang plata porma sa pagka Pangulo yung ENDO, LABOR problems, VAT and ELECTION Laws are also in the agenda of the platform. I advise ka Leody to read VP Leni’s platform and listen to her speexhes during campaign sorties para maliwanagan sya.
I agree that based on what VP Leni’s agenda of governance, Ka Leody’s platform can be considered similar to VP Leni’s and therefore it’s only fitting for make it formal his offer to VP Leni to withdraw his presidential bid in favor of VP Leni & should make sure to campaign for VP Leni for President.
