Here’s the tribute of Ben&Ben to Melanie Trinidad
PAOLO BENJAMIN – The member of the OPM band Ben&Ben, paid a special tribute to a late fan by performing at her wake.
Recently, the band took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein it posted a video of Paolo Benjamin Guico, one of the lead vocals, playing the guitar while singing “Leaves” and “Magpahinga.”
It was a tribute to Melanie Trinidad, a 21-year-old graduating student from PUP Sta. Mesa, who passed away two days ago following a fire incident in Novaliches, Quezon City.
“Kaya sa huling pagkakataon, pumunta kami sa service niya para makiramay at maghandog ng iilang mga awit. Let’s all pray for the repose of her soul,” the band noted.

Ben&Ben’s tribute to Melanie earned reactions from netizens with some expressing their sympathy to the bereaved loved ones of the student.
Liwanag, the fanbase of the OPM band, was also heartbroken following the loss of Melanie.
Ben&Ben, formerly known as The Benjamins, is a folk pop/pop rock band formed in 2015 which is known for their popular hits such as “Pagtingin” and “Lifetime”, among others.
The group is composed of nine (9) members with Paolo Benjamin Guico as the lead vocals and acoustic guitar as well as Miguel Benjamin Guico on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Poch Barretto on lead guitar and backing vocals, Jam Villanueva on drums, Agnes Reoma on bass, Pat Lasaten on keyboards, Andrew de Pano on percussion and backing vocals, Toni Muñoz on percussion and vocals and Keifer Cabugao on violin and vocals.
