Transportation in the country is known for being not the safest in the world. In fact, not a week goes by without traffic jams, road rage, and vehicular accidents.
A vehicular accident might happen anytime… whether onboard a vehicle, while crossing the street, while in a vacation and etc.
Despite being extra cautious, it’s inevitable to sometimes get into accidents because of the careless people in our surroundings.
One of the common vehicular accidents in the Philippines is a hit-and-run incident.
Recently, a minor who goes by the name of “Kian” died on the spot after being hit and run by at least three vehicles in the City of Smiles, Bacolod.
According to Police Maj. Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 8, the victim was crossing along Araneta Street in Barangay Singcang-Airport on Friday, October 15 when he was hit by a white van.
Apparently, the van fled, and aside from the van, two other unidentified vehicles passed by the area and allegedly ran over the victim.
The police added that Kian was one of the kids loitering in the said area despite being warned by the authorities on curfew hours.
Based on the report of Manila Bulletin, the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera is being reviewed to possibly identify the three vehicles involved in the hit-and-run incident. Authorities will locate them through their plate numbers.
