Actress Sunshine Cruz recently took to social media to congratulate her daughter Angelina for making it to the Dean’s list and for achieving first honors.
Sharing photos of themselves on her Instagram account, Sunshine congratulated her daughter for excelling in school despite the difficulties of distance learning amidst the pandemic.
The actress happily shared that her eldest daughter was a top student at her school and also qualified to be part of the Dean’s List for this semester.
According to her, she knew how focused her daughter was on her studies. She also said that the greatest gift her daughters can give her was for them to finish school.
“I’ve always told you girls to focus sa pag-aaral. ‘Yung makapagtapos kayo ang pinakamagandang maibibigay nyong regalo kay mommy and I really appreciate your hard work,” Sunshine wrote.

Sunshine’s message to Angelina came just days after the latter celebrated her 20th birthday with her family and loved ones in a Y2K-themed party.
The actress said in her Instagram post that her birthday wish for Angelina was for her to reach all her dreams in life and also vowed to always be there to support her eldest daughter.
“Now that you are 20, my wish for you is to reach whatever dreams you have. Know that your family will always be here to support you. I am so proud of you dahil lumaki kang hindi lang panlabas na anyo ang maganda kundi pati ang iyong puso ay maganda din,” Sunshine wrote.
Angelina, a recording artist, was Sunshine’s daughter with her former husband Cesar Montano.
