Presidential candidates Senator Manny Pacquiao and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagaso recently revealed the date of their COC filing.
Ron Munsayac, the executive director of Pacquiao-led PDP-Laban, confirmed to Inquirer on Thursday that the senator will make his 2022 run for president official on the first day of COC (certificate of candidacy) filing, which was set from October 1-8, 2021.
Senator Pacquiao, who recently announced his retirement from boxing, was declared the standard-bearer of the PDP-Laban faction that he’s leading with Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III during the national assembly last September 19.
According to the senator, people were already tired of unfulfilled promises and so he’s “rising up to the challenge of leadership” so that he can bring real reforms that would uplift the lives of Filipino people, especially the poor.

On the other hand, Moreno and his running mate Dr. Willie Ong will file their certificates of candidacy (COC) on October 4, 2021.
Ong confirmed in an interview with DZMM that he and Moreno will personally go to the Comelec (Commission on Elections) office to file their certificates of candidacy.
Presidential candidate Senator Panfilo Lacson already announced that he and his running mate, Senate President Vicente Sotto III, will file their certificates of candidacy on October 6, 2021.
Meanwhile, 1Sambayan nominated Vice President Leni Robredo as the opposition coalition’s presidential candidate for the 2022 elections. However, Robredo has yet to formally declare her bid for Malacañang as she’s expected to decide on her presidential run soon.
