Jake and Andi have been separated for a long time.

They are also open to their co-parenting status with their nine-year-old daughter Ellie Eigenmann.

On Friday, September 24, Jake took to an image-sharing site, Instagram wherein he posted a photo of him alongside his daughter at an airport in Manila.

Jake dropped his daughter Ellie at the airport and she’s bound for Siargao where her mom Andi was based.

The words “never not tough” are stated in his caption as he describes what he felt whenever he and his daughter part ways.

A netizen commented on the co-parenting set-up of Andi and Jake.

According to the netizen, kids are among those who are greatly affected when parents separate.

Jake responded to the netizen telling her to not overgeneralize his situation with Andi.

He stressed: “Not everyone has it easy and forcing something that will never be will just be worse and even more traumatic for children.”

He noted that although he and Andi did not end up being together, they are doing their best to have a good co-parenting relationship for Ellie.

It was in September 2014 when Jake and Andi broke up after a four years on-and-off relationship.

Andi is now happy with her fiancé Philmar Alipayo. They have two kids namely Lilo and Koa. Ellie is also close to Philmar.

On the other hand, Jake is single at the moment but he’s proud of being a daddy to Ellie. In June this year, he went to Siargao to personally visit his daughter there.
