NERI NAIG – The wife of Parokya Ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda gave an update about her free reception offer to a Cebu couple scammed by their wedding coordinator.
Recently, a newly-wed couple from Cebu went viral following a video of the bride breaking down in tears after being scammed by their coordinator.
Last June, Cherry Pie and Ariel Purisima paid a down payment of P5,000 to their wedding coordinator, Naser Fuentes.
In September, they gave him P15,000 and P30,000, and a whopping P65,000 as the last installment.
However, there was no reception on their wedding day and their wedding coordinator, unfortunately, ran away with their money.
Neri, a celebrity-turned-businesswoman, then promised the couple to help arrange their wedding reception.
Based on her latest update, her business partner in Cebu already met with Cherry Pie and Ariel Purisima.
Neri Naig said that she’s excited about the couple, particularly for the bride.
She noted that what happened to the newlyweds was likewise heartbreaking for her.
The couple will have their reception at Jeju Samgyupsal Resto in Cebu.
She also pledged to provide the couple a wedding cake as well as a program with an emcee.
Neri Naig added that the owner of Skin Magical and Teatalk will also give them cash at the same time provide the tokens for guests.
Meanwhile, the wedding coordinator is being treated at a hospital in Mandaue City after allegedly attempting to take his own life.
