Jaclyn Jose Admits Suffering from Depression Due to the Pandemic

Jaclyn Jose: “I’m having anxiety and depression because we can’t get out.”

JACLYN JOSE – The award-winning actress admitted that she experiences extreme anxiety attacks and depression due to the pandemic.

Jaclyn appeared before some members of the entertainment press at the virtual mediacon of the movie “The Housemaid” starring Kylie Verzosa.

During the presscon, Jaclyn and the other cast members were asked if they were not afraid to go out and work in the midst of the constant threat of the killer virus.

The veteran actress said she’s worried about the alarming situation of Filipinos due to the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country.

She said: “I’m having anxiety and depression because we can’t get out.”

But despite this, she still continues to work because according to her, it makes her happy and acting is what she wants to do.

Aside from her upcoming movie, she’s also doing a soap under GMA titled “The World Between Us” starring Alden Richards and Jasmine Curtis.

Meanwhile, joining Jaclyn and Kylie Verzosa in The Housemaid are Albert Martinez, Louise delos Reyes, Elia Ilano and Jobelyn Manuel. The movie is directed by Roman Perez.

Mary Jane Santa Ana Guck whose also known as Jaclyn Jose is a Filipina actress who has earned international critical acclaim. She is best known for her roles in the films Private Show, White Slavery, and Santa Juana.

She is also known for playing the iconic Magda in the TV and film adaptations of the Primetime Soap Opera Mula Sa Puso.

In 2016, she starred in Brillante Mendoza’s Palme d’Or-nominated film Ma’ Rosa, for which she won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress.
