Ghosting is the sudden disappearance of a partner, not responding to text or private messages, and even phone calls.

The couple talked about their relationship in the first episode of their “Figure It Out” podcast on Spotify.

According to them, their personality immediately clicked although they are still in the getting-to-know-each-other stage at the time.

The two stressed that despite their deep connection, it’s not yet the perfect time for them to be together.

During those times, Gabbi always reminds Khalil that she’s “off-limits” because she’s still trying to fix her relationship with her ex-boyfriend.

“I was super struggling and he was like sharing his thoughts about his past relationships, about what he went through. It kinda actually helped me cope. So, ghinost kita,” she said.

Khalil, on the other hand, agreed that he was ghosted by Gabbi. But after two years, their paths crossed again.

In 2017, Khalil had a movie “2 Cool 2 be 4gotten” that Gabbi wanted to watch. She had a hard time finding tickets so she told the actor if she could get tickets for the movie.

And that’s where the love story of the two began again. The two never stopped talking until they became a couple.

Khalil and Gabbi first met at Julia Barretto’s 18th birthday party in 2015 where Kathryn Bernardo introduced her to her friend Khalil- who admitted that he became interested in Gabbi immediately when he first saw her.

Gabriella Louise Ortega Lopez or popularly known as Gabbi Garcia started her acting career via GMA Network’s primetime series My Destiny. She then played Sang’gre Alena in the reboot of Encantadia.

On the other hand, rose to fame when he won second place on Pilipinas Got Talent, a reality talent show in ABS-CBN.

He then ventured into acting. His first teleserye under the Kapamilya Network was “Princess and I” starring Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, and Enrique Gil.

In 2020 after 9 years with Star Magic, he transferred to GMA-7.
