CASH ASSISTANCE FOR NCR RESIDENTS – The financial aid for the residents of the National Capital Region was approved and here’s the amount for each recipient.

Metro Manila is set to be under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) for two (2) weeks from August 6 to August 20. The national government approved the recommendation of the pandemic task force in the pursuit to prevent the spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19.

The Delta variant, currently the variant of concern, has reached PH and local transmissions were already recorded by the Department of Health (DOH). This variant caused a spike in the coronavirus cases in other nations.

After bringing a devastating situation in India, Delta is now a factor in the increase in the COVID-19 cases in Indonesia, United States, Malaysia, Thailand, and several other nations.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was vocal that another lockdown will greatly affect the economy of the Philippines. Experts said that the losses may be balanced with the gains if the vaccination will continue and speed up.

Amid the ECQ in the National Capital Region (NCR), the vaccination will continue and those individuals who are set to receive their COVID-19 vaccine will be allowed to go out. Public transportation will also remain.

To help the residents who will greatly be affected by the hard lockdown in Metro Manila, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte approved the release of cash assistance for NCR residents. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, 80% of the population, or about 10.8 million people will benefit from the financial assistance amid the ECQ.

According to the report, each individual will receive Php 1,000.00 as cash assistance for NCR residents. Each household is only allowed to receive a maximum of Php 4,000.00.

The fund will be given directly to the local government units (LGUs). More updates may be posted soon.
