Bea Alonzo on her first month as a Kapuso star
Former Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo recently shared how she described her first month as a Kapuso star.
In an interview on PEP, Bea described her first few months as a newly signed Kapuso star as “medyo surreal”. The actress explained that everything’s a new beginning for her and felt like she’s excited because she seemed to know a lot of people.
At 33 in a new place, the changes were refreshing especially when the actress had just gotten back from her one-month vacation in the US.
As she related to the press during the launch of GMA-7’s regional TV programs, she shared that she felt like there were a lot of new discoveries about herself on her journey, adding that she’s happy because she’s still doing a lot of new things.

PEP also reported that the movie of Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards — the Philippine movie adaptation of the 2001 Japanese movie “Pure Soul” — was currently in the works. The said movie was produced by GMA Pictures, VIVA Films, and APT Entertainment and was directed by Nuel Naval.
Bea told PEP that they’re supposed to start grinding in September 2021 but schedules had to be moved due to ECQ (enhanced community quarantine).
The actress will then return to television via an upcoming teleserye with GMA Network after the movie. According to her, GMA Network had already pitched to her a concept for her first teleserye as a Kapuso star.
Bea signed an exclusive network contract with GMA Network last July 1, 2021, after being a Kapamilya artist for 20 years. She was scheduled to appear in Mars Pa More, Unang Hirit, and All-Out Sundays in the coming days.
