In an interview, she shared that she started her career as an extra in the late ’90s with only a P50 talent fee.

She later starred in more mature movies via the so-called “pito-pito” films.

The “pito-pito” films originated by Regal matriarch Lily Monteverde in the ’90s, are movies with only P2-million budget and need to be finished in just seven days.

“So, nag-TF [talent fee] ako nun ng P70,000 for seven days. So, sabi ko, ‘Oh my God, yung fifty pesos ko, naging ten-thousand plus a day,” she said.

“Sobrang tuwang-tuwa ako nun kasi bida ka na, tapos ang laki ng talent fee mo, di ba? From fifty pesos, ang laki ng itinaas,” she added.

Ynez’s first controversial film is Huwag, which was released in 1997. She was joined by Gino Antonio and Toffee Calma.
