According to Wil, he observed that in the Philippines, when an actor wants to change career, one of their targets is to enter politics.

“I’ve noticed, something that trends in the Philippines is later on in life, after entertainment industry is done or you’re over it, a lot of people transitioned to politics,” he said.

He added: “Now, is this something that you see yourself maybe doing in the future?”

Toni said she has never seen herself dive into the world of politics. But she does not directly close her door for this.

She said: “I don’t see myself in politics right now or anytime soon. But I don’t wanna say, never say never, di ba?”

Toni Gonzaga is not new to politics because her father Carlito “Bonoy” Gonzaga served as vice mayor of Taytay, Rizal for several years.

Bonoy ran for mayor in the last 2019 midterm elections but he was defeated by Joric Gacula.
