Kylie Padilla broke her silence about her separation from Aljur Abrenica.
Actress Kylie Padilla had recently spoken up for the first time about her separation from her husband actor Aljur Abrenica.
In a statement to GMA News, the actress said that their kids Alas Joaquin and Axl Romeo were also having a hard time with the situation apart from her and her husband.
According to her, their family had gone through the process of recovering, healing, and moving on in the past months. The actress then asked for “respect” amidst her separation from her husband.
“All we need right now is respect—first and foremost on the decisions we have made as a family and respect for each and every member of our family—to Aljur who is the father of my two wonderful boys, most especially to Alas and Axl who are at this point very fragile, and to our families from both sides who have guided us along the way,” Kylie said.

Kylie also shared that she and Aljur were working on a “co-parenting” setup. She then prayed and hoped that they’ll become “better persons through this experience” and will also bring out the best in all of them.
Her statement came after her father Robin Padilla confirmed the couple’s split in an interview with comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz.
“Ako, ha, hindi ka dapat makialam. Away ng mag-asawa ‘yan. May mga anak pa. Masakit sa akin, siyempre, sa akin ang remembrance, e. ‘Yung mga apo nasa nanay. Pero hindi issue sa akin ‘yun. Dalawa lang ang pwede mag-ayos niyan, si Kylie lang at si Aljur,” Robin told Ogie in an interview.
Kylie and Aljur got together 10 years ago and got married last December 2018.
