Manila Public Information Office (PIO) announced the sad news via their official Facebook page.

His remains are buried at the Manila North Cemetery.

Last year, Chichi became trending when it was named as the first animal frontliner of Barangay 329 in Manila.

In fact, it was also given its own ID signed by barangay chairwoman Ruby Viasanta as official recognition of being a frontliner.

Chichi is a stray dog who was adopted by councilor Jeanne Ramos and served as the frontliner and helper of the barangay during the height of the pandemic.
