Daniel Padilla on being inactive on social media platforms
Actor Daniel Padilla recently shared why he’s inactive on social media, saying that he’s not interested in using social media, especially on his phone.
Daniel told Boy Abunda in an interview that he’ll only release updates on his Instagram account from time to time but it wasn’t like others who were able to soak up the use of different apps.
According to Daniel, he posted on his Instagram account just to give an update to his supporters.
“I post sa Instagram just to update them [fans]. Minsan napapatagal, pero I post siyempre. Nakakahiya rin naman sa kanila dahil baka cannot be found na naman ako,” Daniel said.

Daniel also shared that he’s impressed with Kathryn Bernardo because she can balance the use of social media in her life — something he can’t do.
Also, Daniel gave his personal opinion on the seeming reality of what many people saw on social media which he said may be one of the reasons why some went through mental health problems.
“For me, because it’s too much information for us. May mga bagay tayo na nakikita, nababasa, na sa totoong buhay, hindi na dapat natin ito alam,” Daniel said.
However, Daniel admitted that face-to-face conversations were difficult, especially with the coronavirus pandemic, so he hoped the use of social media will be responsible.
Daniel also praised what basketball player Kobe Paras said earlier that the number of followers and likes on social media would have been eliminated.
“Sinabi ‘yan ni Kobe Paras, ang galing ni Kobe Paras… Sinabi niya na sana sa Instagram o anumang social media platforms, sana alisin na ‘yung bilang ng likes. Pangalawa, the counts of your followers. Kapag inalis mo kasi ‘yon, magbabago rin ang tema ng lahat. Mag-iiba,” Daniel said.
In the same interview, Daniel shared that his series and movie with Kathryn were currently in the works.
