Beauty pageants no more for Winwyn Marquez
Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez, the Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 titleholder, announced her retirement from beauty pageants.
On Tuesday, June 8, Winwyn posted a throwback video of her during her stint on the said pageant held at Bolivia back in 2017.
Her post is accompanied by the caption: “People have been tagging me non stop sa video na to’ so might as well post it on my feed again (heart emoji) oh how time flies. (crown emoji) thank you sa nag video.”
Winwyn Marquez was the first Asian and Filipina to win the title.
In the comments section, a netizen asked the Kapuso star if she could join other pageants like Miss Universe Philippines.
“No na,” she directly told the netizen.
It seems that many fans of the beauty queen-actress have convinced her to join other local pageants. But Winwyn wants to take a different path
Winwyn Marquez said the only thing she can do is to support the participants of local beauty pageants.
In another post she said: “I am overwhelmed with all your messages grabe non stop. 2015 and 2017 ako sumali.. ngayon 2021 na at hanggang ngayon ganyan padin kayo.”
Meanwhile, the grand coronation of Binibining Pilipinas 2021 will be held on July 11 while Miss World Philippines and Miss Philippines Earth will be on July 25.
