Joel Regal, a widowed father whose wife passed away shortly after giving birth to triplets, pleaded for breastmilk donations.
Earlier, he went to the social networking site, Facebook, calling on those who would like to donate breastmilk for his three little angels.
According to him, his wife passed away just one day after giving birth via emergency C-section.
In an interview, he couldn’t help but turn emotional as he remembered how excited his wife was to see their triplets.
“I can’t really accept it because she was so excited. She was excited to see her children and just like that she was gone,” he said in Filipino as per the GMA Network report.
Joel is trying his best to stay strong despite his situation.
“All I want is to be with them, to hold them; I’m happy just to see their smiles,” he said.
Meanwhile, many responded to Joel’s call for help. Aside from breastmilk, he also received clothes and diapers for his babies.
“I hope to give them breastmilk for the first six months, because there’s nothing like mother’s milk when it comes to nutrition,” he said.
“That’s why I’d like to say thank you very much to everyone who has been messaging us to donate,” he added.
