Tom Rodriguez on upcoming wedding with Carla Abellana
Actor Tom Rodriguez was an excited groom-to-be while sharing some details on his upcoming wedding with his fiancée Carla Abellana.
In a report on GMA Network’s “24 Oras” on Tuesday, Tom said that their preparations for the wedding ceremony were currently in full swing.
Carla and Tom won’t see each other for 4 months as they’re both in lock-in tapings for different shows, but they still managed to plan their wedding virtually.
“We do Zoom meetings with the wedding coordinator. We have to do everything remotely. It’s a good thing that we have a great team,” the actor said in a mix of English and Filipino.
Tom also said that he’s trusting the details to Carla but revealed that the wedding’s theme will be “white with a hint of black and gold”.

Also, he said that he’ll be wearing a suit while Carla envisioned a wedding like her — “simple and yet there’s still an elegance, dreaminess and creaminess to it”.
It was last month when the couple’s wedding bann, which contained their desired wedding date, was put up online and Carla had to issue a statement saying that it was a requirement.
“We had to tell them that’s why Carla posted to tell them that it’s really a part of it. As for me, if I had known, I would’ve put a glamorous shot,” Tom said.
Carla and Tom got engaged last October 2020 but only revealed it to the public last March. The couple had been together for almost seven years as they met through GMA Network’s hit series “My Husband’s Lover” last 2013.
