President Duterte told Pastor Apollo Quiboloy in an interview that he’s resisting overtures from his partymates and said that he’s ready for retirement.

Mahirap ‘yan pastor kasi mag-retire na ko tapos this time ako ang mamili ng presidente. ‘Pag manalo sabihin nila ano ko lang yan, perpetuate yourself in power so nagre-resist ako,” President Duterte said.

President Duterte earlier said that he’ll consider the advice of people telling him not to run in 2022 while he’s still mulling over his decision.

The President also told Quiboloy that he’s ready for retirement. But when asked about his greatest achievement, he said that he “exposed the oligarchy in the Philippines”.

President Duterte cited the issue of the concession agreements with water companies Manila Water and Maynilad that contained provisions that were allegedly disadvantageous to both the public and the government.
