The DOH would be ready for the corruption probe Senator Pacquiao called, according to Duque.

Duque said in a statement that the Department of Health had “always been transparent and cooperative” to auditing efforts within the national government.

According to Duque, they submitted themselves to inquiries from legislators while they’re disheartened by baseless accusations from government officials.

I have always been a champion of good governance and the DOH has always been transparent with regard to our fund utilization,” Duque said.

Duque’s remark came shortly after Senator Manny Pacquiao accepted President Rodrigo Duterte’s challenge and identified the Department of Health as the starting point of an investigation into alleged graft under the Duterte administration.

“Magsimula tayo sa DOH”

On Tuesday, Senator Pacquiao accepted the challenge and pointed to the Department of Health.

Senator Pacquiao said.

Duque said that the Department of Health was ready to show where the loans for COVID-19 vaccines went.

He also said that the department had to “rationally use its funds” in order to continuously implement the Universal Health Care Law and to ensure the unhampered delivery of health services while responding to the coronavirus pandemic to “provide better health outcomes for Filipinos”.

Kung ang tanong ay kung handa kaming ipakita kung saan napunta ang pondo, handang handa po kami,” Duque said.
