Kuya Kim Insists ‘Taiwan is a Country’

Kuya Kim: “My wife is Taiwanese and my kids are half. They have a country and it’s called Taiwan.”

The Kapamilya host made the statement in response to John Cena who earlier apologized on Chinese microblogging platform called Weibo, for calling Taiwan a “country.”

Apparently, Taiwan is a republic of China, meaning it’s a province under the mainland.

Back to Cena, the wrestling star-actor earned backlash among Chinese following his appearance on Taiwanese television TVBS.

He appeared on the show to promote his movie, “Fast and Furious 9.”

According to him, Taiwan would be the first “country” to see the F9.

Meanwhile, Kim Atienza or Kuya Kim took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein he made enlightenment about his post stressing that Taiwan is a country.

“My wife is Taiwanese and my kids are half. They have a country and it’s called Taiwan,” he wrote.
