Currently, users can already access Instagram’s website from their computer or even on their iPad through Instagram’s desktop website, but there’s no option to upload videos, photos, or even stories.

However, this was expected to change soon, as Instagram was currently working on an update to its website that will allow its users to create posts from there.

As revealed by app analyst and developer Alessandro Paluzzi, the said update would bring the post creator to Instagram’s web version — which was previously only available on Instagram’s mobile website besides Instagram’s official app.

Alessandro managed to enable the new option on his profile via undisclosed methods and also shared some images on Twitter of how Instagram’s post creator will work on Instagram’s website.

Based on a report on 9to5Mac, the interface had been tweaked with a preview of the content next to the publishing options. Also, users will find options to crop the image, to apply filters (the same as in the app), and to set a description.

While the developer didn’t mention when the said feature will be available to the public, this was great news for iPad users.

While users can install the Instagram app on their iPad, it just run as an iPhone app without taking advantage of the iPad’s entire screen.

Unfortunately, the CEO of Instagram said last year that an iPad version of the said app wasn’t in the company’s plans, but being able to create posts from Instagram’s desktop website made things less bad, at least.

However, posting Stories through Instagram’s website version should take a bit longer to become a reality.
