5 Priests in Iloilo Test Positive for COVID-19

Five (5) priests in Iloilo tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.

Two of the priests are said to be assigned at the town of Sara while one is in Bingawan and they are all active in church duties.

On the other hand, the two COVID positive priests are already retired.

“They have mild symptoms. They are currently in isolation facilities,” said Fr. Angelo Colada, social communications director of the Archdiocese of Jaro.

Meanwhile, with the rapid increase of coronavirus disease 2019 cases, leaders of different nations are doing their all in order to combat the spread of the deadly virus which started in Wuhan, China in 2019.

COVID-19 is characterized by flu-like symptoms such as fever, difficulty in breathing, cough, and other respiratory problems but a patient may also be positive for the disease even without showing any signs.

Among the safety protocols that everyone must observe are the following; social/physical distancing, using disinfectant from time to time if possible, and wearing masks as well as face shields especially in public places.
