VICTOR WOOD – Michael Testado, the nephew of the Jukebox King revealed details about the late singer who died of COVID-19 complications on April 23, 2021.
No further details were divulged about him aside from his passing.
In an interview, Victor’s nephew provided additional information regarding the deceased singer-actor.
Michael is the son of Victor’s eldest sister Maria Testado. He served as Jukebox King’s assistant from 1999 to 2002 so he knew enough about the life of his late uncle.
He said: “Family lang nina Nerissa [asawa ni Victor] ang naglamay. Late na namin nalaman na ililibing na siya the next day, April 24.
“Hindi rin namin masisisi si Nerissa dahil nalilito na rin siya. Naaawa kami sa kanya dahil exposed pa siya,” he added.
According to him, they were only able to see him in his last moment via video call.
Although Victor died of complications from the coronavirus, his family did not cremate him because it’s not allowed in the church he belonged to.
“Hindi pwedeng i-cremate kapag member ng Iglesia Ni Cristo kaya dapat within 24 hours ay mailibing siya,” he said.
He also made a clarification about Victor’s real age. The actor-singer was 75-years-old when he passed away.
He added that Victor Wood has 5 kids from his first family, 2 from the second family, and a daughter with Nerissa named Victoria Wood.
“Yung ibang anak niya, ang mother ko ang may alam. Ang alam ko, may isa pa siyang anak na pinaka-panganay sa lahat,” he said.
“Wood talaga ang apelyido niya dahil American ang father niya. Pero Nobleza ang gamit niya from his mother’s surname kaya Victor Wood Nobleza ang pangalan niya,” he added.
