4 others and an MMA fighter arrested in a drug buy-bust

MMA – An alleged mixed martial arts fighter and four others were arrested in a buy-bust operation at a drug den in San Pedro City, Laguna.

The suspects were arrested in the effect of a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency at the Rosario Complex in San Pedro city.

The 27-year-old MMA fighter is said to be guarding the alleged drug den.

Up to P216,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from the suspects.

Drug paraphernalia, marked money, and two cellphones were also seized from those arrested.

The suspects are set to be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Under the law, anyone guilty of importation or sale of dangerous drugs, with the manufacture of illegal drugs, or with the operation of a drug den can be punished with life imprisonment to death and a fine ranging from ₱500,000 to ₱10,000,000.
