From being a well-known actor in the Philippines, former TGIS star Red Sternberg shared his efforts in the hotel industry when he moved to the US, until he became the general manager there.
“After I left showbiz nag-Bangkok muna ako. You know, work and pleasure. When I left show business around 2001, lumipat muna ako ng Cebu, I stayed there for around a year … Noong lumipat ako ng Cebu, I considered myself ‘retired.’ Offers were coming in, nire-reject ko,” he shared.
When he moved to America, Red Sternberg began his career in the hotel industry.
“Ever since I got here in the US I’ve been in the hotel industry. Currently for the past around eight years I’ve been a general manager for hotels. A lot of travelling,” he said.
According to Red Sternberg, he worked for five years at three companies related to the hotel industry.
At present, he is a general manager at Panama City Beach in Florida.
When asked about his experience as a general manager, Red Sternberg said: “I’m just acting as if I know what I’m doing.”
According to him, he started as a front desk agent, then assistant general manager until he became a general manager.
