Yam Concepcion Speaks About Claire dela Fuente & Her Gratitude to the Singer
CLAIRE DELA FUENTE – Kapamilya actress Yam Concepcion revealed her last conversation with the singer a few days before she died.
The death of singer Claire dela Fuente shocked a lot of people. The singer who is one of the pillars of the Philippine music industry died of cardiac arrest.
Claire was COVID-19 positive. At first, she was under home isolation together with her son, Gigo de Guzman, who was also positive for the virus. Her other child tested negative for the disease.

However, her oxygen level dropped and she experienced breathing difficulties so she was brought to the hospital. Her son revealed that she had anxiety after she knew that she is positive for the virus.
Claire died at the hospital. Her death left countless hearts broken and a lot of people expressed their gratitude to the singer. Her remains were cremated.
Kapamilya actress Yam Concepcion is one of those who is truly grateful to Claire dela Fuente. They had their last conversation a few days before the singer died.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Yam shared that Claire called her to congratulate following the release of the trailer of Init Sa Magdamag. The actress is one of the lead stars of the said upcoming Kapamilya TV series.
“Tumawag pa siya sa akin. Sabi niya sa akin, ‘Yam, napanood ko ‘yung trailer. Congratulations!’ Four minutes lang iyon sa telepono. Sabi ko, ‘Thank you, Tita Claire,'” she said.
Based on the report, Yam Concepcion also revealed that it was Claire dela Fuente who discovered her and recommended her to Viva Entertainment. She was once bandmates with Mayonnaise’s lead vocalist Monty Macalino whom Claire knows.
“Nakita ni Tita Claire ‘yung music video, kinontak niya si Monty. Doon kami nagkakilala. Ni-refer niya ako sa Viva,” Yam shared.
The actress said she dedicates Init ng Magdamag to Claire. She said she wants to recognize the singer because if not for her, she would not be where she is now.
