The Queen’s Gambit Getting Musical Adaptation

THE QUEEN’S GAMBIT – The story of Beth Harmon, the orphaned chess prodigy, is about to get its own musical adaptation.

Recently, production company “Level Forward” bought the theatrical rights to Walter Tevis’ novel “The Queen’s Gambit”. This is the same novel in which the popular Netflix series staring Anya Taylor-Joy was based on.

Last year, Netflix’ adaptation of the novel became one of their biggest hits. Furthermore, it caused an unprecedented surge in new chess players.

Additionally, Anya Taylor-Joy also won best actress for her performance.
