Ted Failon COVID-19 test result revealed
News anchor Ted Failon officially released a statement as he revealed his COVID-19 test result.
In a statement posted on DJ Chacha’s Instagram account, Ted shared that he received a message from a Radyo5 station officer on late Sunday night notifying me that one of his co-workers in the station had tested positive for COVID-19 and that the said co-worker identified him as a close contact.
According to Ted, he immediately put himself in self-isolation as soon as he heard the news and decided to have himself tested the morning of March 29.
Ted revealed that during late night of March 29, the COVID-19 test result came back indicating that he tested “positive” for coronavirus disease.
He also said that he’s asymptomatic and will follow the advice to self-isolate and to be placed on home quarantine, adding that all of his close contacts had been informed of his situation for their appropriate action.
“This serves as a reminder to everyone that even in the midst of strictly following the health protocols, the probability of the virus infecting us is still high this is why now more than ever, we need to be extra cautious and take all necessary precautions to ensure our safety and the safety of our families,” Ted said in his statement.
This was confirmed by fellow news anchor DJ Chacha, who was identified as one of Ted’s close contacts.
In an Instagram post, DJ Chacha shared that Ted was asymptomatic and he’s in good condition. She also said that those who had close contact with the news anchor — including herself — underwent the COVID-19 swab test.
Her COVID-19 test result, according to DJ Chacha, came back “negative” but she will undergo another COVID-19 swab test on Saturday. DJ Chacha then asked her followers and supporters to pray for Ted and her fellow colleagues who were battling the coronavirus disease.
