34-Year-Old PWD Cyclist in Lapu-Lapu City Inspires People Because of His Skill and Determination
A PWD cyclist from Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu inspired the people around him because of his determination in life.
A 34-year-old barangay volunteer worker in Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City identified as Artemio Enario served as an inspiration to his fellow villagers. The guy turned the bad things happened to him into a good one.
Artemio suffered from a tetanus infection around four years ago, which requires the amputation of his leg to avoid the spread of the infection throughout his body. He thought that he could never ride again on a bike.
“I was 16 years old when i learned to ride a bike. I continued biking even if I was already a PWD because I really liked to bike. I enjoyed seeing new places and that also includes as an exercise for me,” Enario said in Cebuano.
However, the PWD cyclist admitted that he find it hard to ride a bike with only one leg but his desire to push himself to ride and reach several destinations gives him the determination to keep on cycling.
The disabled guy does not only ride on easy roads but usually go to Busay and its nearby areas. His cycling skill and determination inspire a lot of people including the man behind Cebu Bisikleta Shots Arnold Ortega Fiestas.
Fiestas also gave Enario a helmet as a gift.
