Laguna Policeman Allegedly Shot Teenager Due to Heated Argument
CALAMBA CITY, LAGUNA – A policeman reportedly shoots a teenager after having an exchange argument in Laguna.
On Sunday (March 28, 2021), the police officer identified as Cpl. Ian Javier Medel allegedly shoot and killed a 19-year-old teen in Calamba City named Leovil Brian Pelletero. The incident happened along Acacia Street, Ceris 1 Village in Barangay Canlubang.
Calamba City police Chief Lt. Col. Jonathan Villamor reported that the incident happened after having an exchange of heated arguments around 2:25 am. The cop said that they received a report from a security guard regarding the incident.
The security guard found the victim lying on the ground with a gunshot wound on his body after hearing a gun shot. The victim is also holding a long firearm at the scene.
The Calamba City police reported that the victim has been immediately brought to the Global Medical Center of Canlubang medical treatment. Unfortunately, Pelletero passed away due to the incident.
Medel surrendered to the police authorities and currently under the custody of the police.
