Netizens called out Julia Barretto for allegedly “paraphrasing” the caption of a Thai star’s post as the actress wrote a message for Gerald Anderson on his birthday.
On Sunday, Julia wrote a short-but-sweet message to Gerald as he celebrated his 32nd birthday.
“Everyday I celebrate you, but today I am extra grateful. Happy birthday my love, I am SO PROUD OF YOU,” Julia said to Gerald in her Instagram post.
However, netizens called her out because of her caption. According to a Facebook post from Showbiz Online Portal, netizens called out the actress for allegedly “paraphrasing” the caption of Yaya Urassaya Sperbund’s Instagram post.

According to MyDramaList, Yaya Urassaya Sperbund was a Thai actress who gained immense popularity with her portrayal of the fearless and daring Jeed in “Duang Jai Akkanee”.
In Yaya’s Instagram post to her boyfriend last December 2020, she said in her caption: “In everyday I celebrate you but today I am extra grateful 🙂 so a hipp hipp hurra HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU na kaaa.“
Netizens then invaded Yaya’s post and said that they came after seeing Julia’s Instagram post. Here are some of the comments:
Meanwhile, @nadechyayaclubdotcom told Filipino users on Instagram that they should refrain from commenting on Yaya’s post due to the “copied caption”.
On the other hand, @madefornadechyaya also told Filipino users on Instagram to leave the comment section for their “nonsense comparison”.
