JC Santos got a second chance from his wife
Actor JC Santos admitted that his non-showbiz wife Shyleena Herrerra turned him down when they were in high school.
JC and Shyleena got married in September 2019. They now have an adorable child named River. Before ending up together, the actor had a “basted” moment in the past.
They were schoolmates in high school in Pampanga and JC admitted that he had a crush on Shy even back then, based on the article in PEP.
“Oo, gusto ko siya. Ganyan na siya kaganda fifteen years ago pa. Sobrang bait kasi ni Shy, e. Siya yung girlfriend-material. Trinay ko ligawan. ‘Tapos nabasted ako. Hahaha!” the actor shared.
They went separate ways when they reached college. JC Santos studied at the University of the Philippines in Diliman and became part of the Dulaang U.P. headed by the late Tony Mabesa as the founding director.
Through that, JC acting skills were enhanced and in 2013, he entered the show business and did several movies and TV shows.
After he found success in the entertainment industry, JC decided to build a house in Pampanga. “Naghahanap ako ng community na pwede makasama, makatambay. Isa sa mga napuntahan ko sa Instagram, may nag-comment sa akin, actually, ‘tapos parang tinag siya. Sa isip ko, ‘Kilala ko ito ha! Si Shy,’” the actor shared.
With the memories of his high school days having a crush with his beautiful schoolmate, JC Santos immediately visited her.
“Pinuntahan ko siya sa Lubao, Pampanga. May restaurant siyang sarili. Kinilig ako nang severe! Hahaha!” he said as he was able to make his high school crush fall in love with him.
“Yung crush mo ‘tapos may crush na rin sa iyo, may gusto na sa iyo. Iba yun, e. Ang sarap!” he added.
JC said that he and Shy are now on the building stage, building their house and their family.
