Female Netizen Expresses Dismay Over Expensive Swab Testing Requirement for Traveling Purposes
A female netizen lambasted the expensive swab testing requirement for traveling purposes, which only adds to the burden of Filipinos.
A Facebook user named Angeli Loren has expressed her disappointment regarding the expensive fee for swab testing amid the coronavirus pandemic. The post garnered various reactions online.
Angeli realized that the swab testing requirement for traveling purposes or whatever reasons just add to the burden of the Filipino people amid the health crisis affecting the global economy.
A lot of people are now struggling financially after losing jobs and source of income due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic then the requirements add to the burden of the public.
Loren said that a senior citizen couple asked if they could up to date their swab result worth P3, 500 each. The cost for both of them is P7, 000 but they were asked to take swab again a day before their flight, which will cost another P7, 000.

Naisip ko, pandemic na. Wala ng pera mga tao. it seems like naging business na imbis na RIGHT ng tao magpatest para ma secure yung safety.
There’s these Senior Citizens na mag asawa na nagtatanong if pwede ipa up to date yung swab result nila na ma i-innvalid ng 1day sa mismong flight nila pauwi ng Roxas City due to emergency reason.
Hindi maconsider na ipa up to date yung result nila. So ang inaadvise is magpa swab test ulit para maging valid sa mismong araw ng flight nila pauwi.
Imagine, they already paid 7000pesos for both of them (3500pesos each for the test) na mawawalang kwenta lang just because invalid ng 1day sa araw ng flight nila and then gagastos na naman sila ng another 7000pesos to get another swab test.
LIKE, SERIOUSLY?!!!! 14,000PESOS NEEDED TO BE SPENT FOR 2 SWAB TEST WHERE IN FACT IT SHOULD BE FREE AND IT’S PEOPLE’S RIGHT TO GET TESTED?!!! SEEMS LIKE PEOPLE LEFT WITH NO CHOICE PARA GUMASTOS KASI KAILANGANG KAILANGAN?!!

PS: Baka po pwedeng paki taasan yung minimum wage sa bansa para makasabay po kami sa gastos dito.”
