On Thursday, the House of Representatives adopted during its plenary session the amendments of the Senate to the House Bill No. 7332, which the Senate passed on third and final reading on Wednesday.

The House Committee on Legislative Franchises didn’t object to the Senate’s amendments.

In effect, Congress will no longer have to convene a bicameral conference committee in order to reconcile the disagreeing provisions of the versions approved by the House of Representatives and the Senate.

The said measure will just be transmitted to Malacañang for President Duterte’s signature.
