Aiko Melendez: “Sana ay malampasan natin ng maayos at ligtas ang pagsubok na dumarating sa atin.”
AIKO MELENDEZ – The award-winning actress extended help to the residents of Barangay Sta. Lucia in District 5 of Quezon City on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.
The area was placed under Special Concern Lockdown due to an upsurge of COVID-19 cases.
This prompted Aiko to provide grocery items for the residents in need.
About 150 families or 480 people received bags of rice, spaghetti, and other canned goods in the said area.
When asked by PEP.ph why she chose the said place, she said: “Kasi taga-District 5 ako kaya nagpadala ako ng help sa Sta. Lucia, kasi malapit lang sa akin iyong lugar so I kinda felt the need to help them.”
On Instagram, she thanked those who assisted her in giving her “munting tulong.”
“Pagpasensiyahan niyo na po ang nakayanan ko po at huwag po kayo panghihinaan ng loob sa mga nangyari at lagi ko pong ipinagdarasal na sana ay malampasan natin ng maayos at ligtas ang pagsubok na dumarating sa atin.”
Aiko Melendez was among the celebrities who have been noted for helping other people, especially during this pandemic.
