Batangas COVID-19 Fatalities At 393 After Authorities Log 5 New Deaths

BATANGAS COVID-19 FATALITIES – The number of deaths caused by the new coronavirus in Batangas has reached 393.

Yesterday, health authorities in Batangas reported at least 5 new deaths caused by the deadly virus. The day before, the Public Information Office also reported the deaths of two coronavirus patients in San Juan Town, and one from the municipality of San Pascual and Tanauan City.

However, authorities failed to disclose more about the incidents. According to an article from Inquirer, Batangas has reported a total of 12,608 COVID-19 infections. Currently, 290 of these were considered as active cases.

Additionally, at least 69 of the active cases were staying in different hospitals. Furthermore, 162 of the patients were placed in non-health facilities or community isolation centers. Meanwhile, 59 were placed under home quarantine.

As of February 11, the city has reported 11,925 recoveries. Moreover, out of 31 towns in Batangas, only four areas have no active cases of the new coronavirus. These are the towns of Balete, Cuenca, Talisay, and Tingloy.

In total, the Philippines has logged 542k cases of the virus since the start of the pandemic in the country. Of that number, 500 have recovered. Unfortunately, 11,401 patients loss the battle against the virus.
