Xiaomi officially released a statement in response to being blacklisted by the US government along with other Chinese companies.
In a statement posted on its Twitter account, Xiaomi clarified that the company had been in compliance with the “relevant laws and regulations of jurisdictions where it conducts business”.
Also, Xiaomi reiterated that it provided products and services for commercial use and for civilians.
In addition, Xiaomi emphasized that the company wasn’t owned, controlled, or affiliated with the Chinese military and wasn’t a “Communist Chinese Military Company” as defined under the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
Moreover, Xiaomi said that it would take an appropriate course of action in order to protect the interests of the company and its stakeholders.
