Husband of Barbie Almalbis infected with COVID-19
Martin Honasan, the husband of singer Barbie Almalbis, tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.
Recently, she went to the image-sharing site, Instagram wherein she shared the sad news to her followers.
According to her, they are still not sure how he got the virus.
She cited, maybe he contracted the dreaded disease from one of their recent hospital visits.
Barbie Almalbis shared that “it was difficult and sometimes painful for him to breathe, and he felt fuzzy and confused from a 9-day fever and dehydration. He was feeling scared and we mentioned it to our nurse..”
Fortunately, “he began to recover soon after, and we were able to go home after a few days.”
Barbie Almalbis then thanked those who helped their family especially the nurses and doctors of St. Luke’s, BGC.
COVID-19 is characterized by flu-like symptoms such as fever, difficulty in breathing, cough, and other respiratory problems but a patient may also be positive for the disease even without showing any signs.
With the rapid increase of coronavirus disease 2019 cases, leaders of different nations are doing their all in order to combat the spread of the deadly virus which started in Wuhan, China in 2019.
Among the safety protocols that everyone must observe are the following; social/physical distancing, wearing masks especially in public places, and using disinfectant from time to time if possible.
