MNH Entertainment announced on Monday, December 7 that the 24-year-old South Korean singer contracted the dreaded disease.

According to Soompi, Kim Chungha also confirmed the news via a post on her official fan café.

“I tried to be careful, but I guess it wasn’t enough. I was also urgently notified today and just found out. I’ll return again and promote in good health,” she said.

Kim Chungha is currently undergoing self-quarantine which means all of her promotional activities are being halted.

It was on November 27 when the singer released a video for her pre-release single “Dream of You” which is part of her newest album “Querencia.”

Last month, Up10tion member Bitto turned out to be positive for COVID-19 alongside his bandmate Kogyeol.

Both appeared in the musical show wherein Sihyeon and Yiren of the six-piece girl group Everglow also made an appearance.

As of Sunday, South Korea has recorded 631 new cases of COVID-19.

COVID-19 is characterized by flu-like symptoms such as fever, difficulty in breathing, cough, and other respiratory problems but a patient may also be positive for the disease even without showing any signs.

With the rapid increase of coronavirus disease 2019 cases, leaders of different nations are doing their all in order to combat the spread of the deadly virus which started in Wuhan, China in 2019.

Among the safety protocols that everyone must observe are the following; social/physical distancing, wearing masks especially in public places, and using disinfectant from time to time if possible.
