Former actor Mark Joseph or Ricardo Sarzuelo in real life passed away on Sunday, December 21 at the age of 63 due to skin cancer.

He died in his sleep at their hometown in Marikina City due to Squamous cell carcinoma.

His remains lie at Dela Paz Funeral Homes in Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Avenue, Santolan, Pasig City.

His body will be cremated on December 24.

In an interview, his wife Miriam paid a tribute to the actor.

“Sobrang sakit, I am with him for 38 years. Alam mo ba na yung 38 years na ‘yon, maghihiwalay lang kami, pinakamahaba na ang apat na oras? Napakabait niyang asawa at ama,” she said.

“The night before he died, hindi naman siya actually nagbilin. Sabi lang niya, alam niyang mamamatay na siya. Sabi niya, ‘Alam mo, Ma, mamamatay na ako. Sabi ko, ‘Hindi totoo ‘yan. Hindi totoo ‘yan,” she added.

Mark Joseph rose to fame during the 1980s.

Throughout his career in the movie industry, he has starred in more than 40 films already.

Among the prominent movies wherein he starred are the following; Silip (1985), Hubo Sa Dilim (1985), Bold Star (1986), Kiri (19886), Halik Sa Pisngi Ng Langit (1986), and Materyales Fuertes (1986).

But one of the most memorable flicks wherein he starred is the 1987 film Tagos ng Dugo wherein he played the leading man role of Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos.

However, he left show business and studded at the University of the Art of Healing in California, USA, and later became a known chiropractor in the country.
