Ed Sheeran surprised his fans with a “Christmas present”
Ed Sheeran had recently took to social media as he surprised his fans by unveiling his “Christmas present” months after having a social media break.
It was last September when he posted a pair of socks on his Instagram account as he formally announced that he and his partner welcomed their baby girl.
“We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back,” Ed said.
After three months of being inactive on social media, Ed posted an artwork on social media and gave a hint about his “Christmas present”.
Hours after posting an artwork on social media, Ed finally revealed his “Christmas present” to his fans and supporters — his latest single “Afterglow”.

According to him, “Afterglow” was a song that he wrote in 2019 that he wanted to release for his supporters and fans. However, he mentioned that his latest single was “not the first single from the next album” but “a song I love, and hope you love too”.
This means that he’s working on his upcoming album and he will announce it in the coming days.
Following the announcement, Ed released the official performance video of his latest single — including the lyrics —on his YouTube channel. The said video already garnered over 2.6 million views as of this writing.
In addition, Ed’s latest single was already available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes Store, YouTube Music, and Pandora.
