Mom of Isabel Rivas Had Her Adopted at 2 Days Old

ISABEL RIVAS – The actress revealed that she is actually a legally adopted child of her own aunt.

One of the actresses who is in the industry for several decades now is Isabel Rivas. She is the sister of former actor Dennis Roldan or Mitchelle Yap Gumabao in real-life.

Isabel’s niece with Dennis, Michele Gumabao, was recently hailed as the 2nd runner up in the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant. Two of his sons, Marco Gumabao and Paolo Gumabao, is now in the showbiz industry like their aunt.

However, little did the public know that Isabel actually has a painful past. At 2 days old, her mother had her adopted by her own aunt.

Based on a report on Pep, the siblings of her mother have helped her mom a lot so when time came that she’s carrying her, the help offered by her sister is to adopt her baby – who is Isabel.

At two days old, Isabel was given by her mother to her aunt. It was a legal adoption that took place. She grew up in Zambales but she knows who her biological mom is and as well as her siblings.

Isabel Rivas admitted that being adopted brought her a lot of pains and questions. Based on the report, things went even harder for the actress as her mother’s reason for giving her to her aunt instead of one of her siblings is because she’s the ugliest of them four.

“Masakit ang mga sagot… Markang-marka sa akin’yan… Tuwing mag-uusap kami noon, pinagtatawanan pa niya… She did’nt know how to face the problem dahil yung mga ipinanganak noon, wala naman silang psychological help,” the 62-year-old actress said.

Meanwhile, Isabel Rivas who was greatly pained as her mom had her adopted by her aunt was able to forgive her mother before the latter passed away. According to her, her mom kneeled to her asking forgiveness and telling her she did not know the extend of what she did.

The actress could not resist from turning emotional upon revisiting the past. Meanwhile, she is okay now and can really face it.
