OPPO Launched COVID-19 Computer Aided Detection Research Platform during INNO Day 2020.
OPPO officially launched its COVID-19 Computer-Aided Detection Research Platform at the the first day of its INNO Day 2020 event.
According to OPPO, the said platform was used in order to detect COVID-19 cases and boasted an accuracy of 99.67 percent.
Gizmochina reported that there’s no explanation for how the diagnosis was carried out, but OPPO said that the framework would be made open to health institutions so that they could develop faster and more effective screening tools that could assist in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
OPPO wasn’t the only tech company that had developed ways in order to assist with the fight against the coronavirus disease.
Tech companies Google and Apple partnered together in order to develop the COVID-19 Exposure Notifications System which helped with contact tracing.

Google and Apple’s COVID-19 Exposure Notifications System would notify users who had been exposed to someone who had contracted the virus.
Users who opt-in for the service would have a random ID generated for their device. For security, the ID changed every 10-20 minutes.
Using Bluetooth, user’s phone communicated with other devices and exchanged these IDs, and periodically checked to know if any of the IDs it had came in contact with was associated with that of a user that had tested positive for coronavirus disease.
Users could get a notification and instructions on how to keep themselves safe if there’s a match.
