J-Skeelz arrested in a buy-bust
Jason Yap Rodriguez also known as J-Skeelz, a FlipTop rapper, was arrested in a drug buy-bust in Quezon on Satruday, November 7, 2020.
Authorities were able to seize at least P1000 worth of illegal drugs from the suspect.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Arnulfo Selencio, the chief of police of Candelaria, J-Skeelz was caught in a buy-bust operation held inside the Quezon Premier Hotel in Barangay Masin Sur in Quezon around 3:30 a.m earlier.
The police officers were also able to retrieve two more plastic sachets of suspected Shabu from the suspect who’s a 37-year-old resident of Gagalangin in Tondo, Manila.
J-Skeelz rose to fame as a FlipTop battle artist.
His career boomed in rap battle in 2018.
Among his popular duels was with rappers namely Batas, Khen Magat, Tipsy D, Abaddon, Juan Lazy and to name a few.
He even made a song collaboration with rapper Mike Kosa through their single “Partners in Rhyme” which has over 1 million views on the video-sharing platform, YouTube.
Meanwhile, he is now facing charges for the violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
J-Skeelz is currently detained at the local police jail in Quezon.
